River North (our very own slice of Downtown Chicago) is a treasure trove of art galleries, restaurants, and nightlife; but you probably already knew that. That’s why you’re here! Even though there are some well known must-sees and must-dos (The Magnificent Mile, the Addington Gallery, the National Radio Hall of Fame) there are some gems below Google’s Top Ten, too. Untitled Supper Club

The Untitled Supper Club is a revival of a classic Prohibition-era supper club—an upscale dining establishment featuring live music and vintage cabaret-style entertainment. It’s one of our favorite spots, and it hosts live entertainment five nights a week. Their musical selections are rooted in classic American genres: vintage soul, funk, rock, R&B, and jazz, and their nightlife aspires to provide a “dance through the ages” experience. It’s the perfect spot to let loose.

Boyoyoboy! Art Gallery

Boyoyoboy! Is an African Art Collective on Kinzie Street that specializes in (in their words) The Art of Resistance. They’re proud of their unique qualities, and refuse to go anywhere near Bed Bath & Beyond dentist office art (again, their words), and have a vivacious and brilliant view of the world and its possibilities. Their mediums, subjects and styles are varied and eclectic, and they go the extra mile to light that ember in your soul.

Highline Bar and Lounge

Highline Bar and Lounge is a staple for lunch and happy hour in River North, and it also happens to be the perfect spot to watch all the big games (30 TVs and a state of the art sound system—it doesn’t get much better than that).
